02 — Synopsis

Dignity, shame,
and maternal love

Protagonist
Saraa — mother of two, ger district
Inciting incident
A stranger's bag. A body in the street.
The question
Does the money free her — or expose the ruin already inside?

In a ger-district yard on the edge of Ulaanbaatar, Saraa raises two daughters on credit, cut electricity, and the daily humiliation of being seen as poor. One night a stranger presses a bag into her hands and asks her to keep it. The next day he is dead in the street — and the bag is full of US dollars.

The money should be rescue. Instead it becomes performance. Saraa buys a new face, a new body, counterfeit luxury, appliances she cannot use — everything but a way out. As fear curdles into paranoia and greed, she starts destroying the people who love her, one by one.

A darkly comic thriller about dignity, shame, and maternal love, MINDFALL asks a single question: when sudden wealth enters a life confined to society's lowest rung, does it free the person — or expose the ruin already inside?
